This gel eyeliner has a really deep coloring to it and using the brush you can do a straight line or brush it out to make it a smokey look. The fun part is you can choose different colors and have fun with them.
I love this Glitter lipstick, it goes on so smoothly and STAYS ON!! It doesn’t dry out my lips it really just keeps them moist and the best part is it lasts for hours! Best Lipstick ever!
I was looking into when a cosmetic item came into play and how or who would have made it something more than just an item, and I found this very interesting article about a man named Robert T. Plate’, and for me what made it more interesting is that he was from Michigan and went to U of M (the University of Michigan, Go Blue), so if you didn’t know already I’m a Michigan girl and U of M is my collage I grew up rooting for. This man worked at GM (General Motors) as an engineer so who would have thought an engineer would have come to make and produce cosmetics like the Trio-Ette? Questionable as it is to me, even though it was short-lived, I really found this article remarkably interesting and if you would like to read it, I’ve added the link. https://www.makeupmuseum.org/home/cosmetics-history/
The house of Plate’ company was established in 1944 by Robert Plate, who added the hyphen after the (E) to maybe make it sound more intriguing, I don’t understand my self of how or why that hyphen would change anything that Plate’ did or made, maybe he was trying to change himself, I do not know but can I get a hyphen after the an in my name? I am laughing out loud.
Years after Plate’ started his journey it ended as he started those things everyone loves SCAMS, you believe that? even back then companies would pull scams on people, for me, I despise people that don’t have anything better to do than scam innocent people out of their hard-earned earnings and I am one who believes in karma, and karma will get them one way or another.
Plate’ had bigger names coming into play that he couldn’t compete with, does the name BeneFit sound familiar? Well, it does to me, they have great products and I hope one day I can be as big of a company as they are, so after your done reading support My Makeover Madness and help me become my dream. The photo of the ad ran for an all in one with powder-sifter and puff on one side, and textured rouge on the other, and in the handle a matching lipstick, how about that compact, I think it is clever, and the pricing on the items is phenomenal and id like to go back to that low price for cosmetic products.
I sometimes use affiliate links in my content. This won’t cost you anything but it helps me to offset the cost of paying for bills. Thank you for your support.
Did you know?
I found this article and it was so interesting to me as it was around the time, I started wearing makeup and this article gives some history of how the colors or blush and eyeshadow really became a thing.
Did you know that some of the influences who made the bright colors be a popular thing in the ’80s? Well, one or should I really just be honest and say both of them that I believe made the bright colors be a big thing in the ’80s were Cyndi Lauper and Madonna, both who I idolized and tried to be like when I was younger, I even (don’t laugh at me) did a lip sync to Madonna like a virgin at our town fair, and I did my hair wild and had bright colorful eyeshadow just like Madonna or Cyndi would have had then, it’s crazy to believe they were a big reason for the bright makeup to become such a big thing. My First Eyeliner Pencil
I am coming at you with this post from a non-makeup artist perspective. I enjoy makeup (ALOT) and enjoy applying it, but I would never call myself a makeup artist, I want to tell you about my first time with an eyeliner pencil.
The first time I tried an eyeliner I was in 6th grade and let me tell you it was a challenge all on its own. The eyeliner was black, and I had seen my mom take a lighter to the tip of it, so I did the same, and let just say I looked as if I got into a fight with two doorknobs with all the smudging, I had going on all the way around my eyes, it was a sight to see.
Once I had figured out the technique it was easy peasy, I would go all around the eye because we are talking about the late 80’s so that was the style then.
These eyeliner pencils are a bit better than back then so staying and non-smudging is a must for me, so I choose these, and I also love all the colors you can choose from, beautiful!
When I apply these eyeliner pencils, I like to use them in my upper waterline for the dimension effect, that I myself believe it gives the eye a more open look, not that I need bigger looking eyes because I am fortunate enough to have big eyes, I just like how it brings out different colors in my eyes, besides how it has the effect of a more open looking eye.
I remember that there used to be a rule with blondes and brunettes when it came to color choices, where blondes were only to wear brown eyeliner and brunettes to wear black, but I beg the differ and believe and hair color, eye color, it does not matter because all colors look beautiful on you when you feel beautiful in it.
